We have a close knowledge of the values of the mountain, because such values are the same as those that guide our actions as a compan y, which are: Respect, Integrit, Comitment, Excelence and Loyalty.
CFR has a close relationship with the mountains and we get familiar with their values on site. All our workers periodically participate of a trip across the nature, near one of the summits of our long chain of mountains. Also, different teams start expeditions beyond the Chilean and continental borders.
In 2005, for the first time a group of CFR workers started to climb the Himalaya’s summits. There we showed attitudes that are a proof of our values, and the strength of a team with good communication even in the most adverse situations, such as those found at extreme heights.
The mountain has shown us that when the members of a team speak the same language, share the same values and clearly perceive the goals and the sense in what they are doing, the possibility of obtaining excellent results increases. Personal egos have no room in a team expedition. The climbers and the members of our pharmaceutical company are well aware of that fact: men and women that, most of all, love and respect their partners. While at the mountain errors and improvisation may cost the life of a human being, at a company errors may cause the failure of the mission and of the organizational vision.
We have experience at the mountains, and we have it clear that easy things are achieved by anyone, only the difficult ones are achieved by those with a capability, that needs working with perseverance and excellence. To reach the summit is an achievement that requires fighting our own fears and proving our own capabilities.
